An improved rough set strategy-based sine cosine algorithm for engineering optimization problems

Abstract In this paper, a hybrid algorithm called rough sine cosine (RSCA) is introduced for solving engineering optimization problems by merging the (SCA) with set theory concepts (RST). RSCA combines benefits of SCA and RST to focus search promising region where global solution can be found. Due imprecise information on problems, efficient algorithms roughly identify optimal type uncertain data. The fundamental motive adding deal imprecision roughness available regarding optimal, especially large dimensional problems. cut concept targeted more interesting so operation could sped up, optimum reached at low computational cost. proposed tested 23 benchmark functions 3 design RSCA’s obtained results are mainly compared SCA, which used as first level in work those other literature. According comparisons, provide very competitive performance different algorithms.
